Job Description
Support services position within Technical Communications, responsible primarily for providing electronic publishing support for medical device product labeling. The Electronic Publisher’s primary responsibility is to support the technical writers in formatting, proofreading, and finalizing the design of Technical Communications deliverables. The Electronic Publisher position is a customer-focused role responsible for ensuring all job requests are produced on time with little to no rework, meet expected quality standards, and are completed according to documented processes using validated systems and tools. The person who will be successful in this role is energized by completing requests for detailed, precise work efficiently and correctly day in and day out.
Typical Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Perform production tasks as required using established templates
- Proof printed copies of manuals against source PDF files
- Follow standard guidelines and documented procedures for master branding, technical labeling, and regulatory requirements in the creation of technical documents
- Perform style checks and conversions using established standard processes and tools
- Follow process and work instructions for naming, organization, storage and transfer of graphic and document files
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires a Bachelors Degree in Technical Communications, English, Journalism, or Graphic Design
- Desired/Preferred Experience working in a regulated environment
- Previous experience working with Adobe FrameMaker
