Location: Fridley, MN
Duration: 12 months (25-30 hours per week, depending on projects)
Position Description:
This is a project-based position, supporting the transformation of the client’s Customer Care organization, including developing a communication program in collaboration with the location optimization core project management team, supporting the Americas region in driving operational effectiveness and efficiency. As part of the Americas communication team, the contractor will provide strategic counsel and tactical support to drive project execution.
• Provide communications leadership, counsel and feedback as a core member of the core location optimization team, working closely with the Project leadership team and sponsors.
• Responsible for designing and implementing strategic and tactical communication plans that support the execution of the project, leveraging core Global Communications messaging, tools and approaches.
• Collaborate with the Americas marketing and communications team to ensure plans are aligned with regional and functional expectations.
• Incorporate feedback mechanisms and metrics into communication plans to increase impact.
• Partner with Change Management for ongoing stakeholder identification, engagement and alignment to support the execution of the project.
• Engage with Global Communications team members (Corporate/Business Group/Region) to ensure visibility, engagement and coordination on projects as needed.
• All activities must be performed in compliance with the local Quality System.
• Performs duties in compliance with environmental, health and safety related site rules, policies or governmental regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Travel requirement: 10-20%
Basic Qualifications:
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Affairs or related field
Years of Experience:
• 8 + years of relevant professional communications experience
Specialized Knowledge or Skills Required:
• Experience in planning and implementation of strategic and tactical communications plans
• Experience working with large-scale transformation efforts
• Experience in external communications and issues management
• Experience working with change management frameworks
• Experience building relationships with people at all levels of an organization
• Experience in working with diverse, cross-functional teams
• Experience working in a variety of mediums, including print, social, digital
• Project management experience
