POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Technical Communications is a Research & Development team responsible for creating and maintaining primary product labeling for Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) and Electrophysiology (EP) products. The Project Manager play a pivotal role planning and coordinating labeling deliverables for new product development and sustaining projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Project/Program Management: Manages key initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing activities; develops (with assistance) and implements a project plan; builds team ownership and commitment to project plan.
- Process Management: leads team to complete activities per policies and practices to produce and release Technical Communications deliverables required in support of Sustaining or New Product Development projects.
- Communication and Reviews: Responsible for team and cross-functional communications; acts as primary liaison between the Technical Communications team and the project Core Teams; leads (with assistance) phase and business reviews, project meeting minutes, issues logs, metrics, and other key communications.
- People Management: Manages small cross-functional development teams (with assistance); leads teams effectively; provides input to functional managers on team and team member performance.
- Product/Technology Management: Develops labeling strategies based on regulatory, marketing, and technical requirements and features. Works with Technical Communications team to identify and mitigate technical challenges associated with deliverables.
- Continuous Improvement: works with peers and managers to improve department processes and drive efficiency.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum 2 years of project management experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years of experience
- PMP certification or significant progress towards a PMP certification
- Experience with Agile project management tools and techniques
- Experience in a medical device company
- Experience with medical device literature or labels
