POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The hiring manager is basically looking for a self started with some writing skills. An engineering professional will probably be bit overqualified for this work, unless is it someone pretty junior.

The key function of this position is to translate inputs from manufacturing and engineering into work instructions for a production team. This would include documenting and notifying regulatory agencies of these changes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Technical writing experience preferably manufacturing work instructions or procedures
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Working knowledge of software technologies used for writing, publishing, and document control.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to evaluate audience and effectively communicate the appropriate level of detail

NICE TO HAVES:

  • Understanding of the following topics:
  • ISO regulations, FDA QAR design controls, Good Manufacturing Process (GMP), etc.
  • User experience principles
  • Authoring in XML in a single-source content development environment
  • Ability to work effectively across disciplines to implement creative solutions to complex problems
  • Writing for a global audience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Ability to learn and adapt to changes in technology, processes, and requirements
