Location: Fridley, MN
Duration: 4-6 months (hours per week will range from 24-32 hours per week)
Position Responsibilities
This contract position will be responsible for designing and developing training and educational content for adult learners for various assigned projects and subjects within the Global Brand and Engagement team. This includes working with subject matter experts to understand the content and learning needs; creating engaging learning experiences; writing clear, compelling content; working with creative teams as needed to develop supporting assets; and in general applying tested instructional design theories, practices, and methods to all work, including learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques. This position will work with the Global Brand Training Program Manager.
Job Duties
- Design/re-concept and then convert a 6-hour classroom training course — including content delivery, practice, and assessment — into a modular, self-paced, and engaging global, remote learning solution (eg, e-learning, video, blended)
- Convert a 1-hour WebEx training session on a new enterprise excellence program to an e-learning course for new employees, including a reassessment of audience, learning needs, and content to meet the new requirements
- Assess and then update / revise / redevelop as needed the Brand I training suite, consisting of three e-learning modules
- Write project-related communications (eg, emails, web content) intended to inform and teach, as assigned
- Other duties as assigned

- Experience designing and developing adult learning material in a variety of formats (e-learning using Storyline/Articulate, classroom, workshop, etc.)
- Excellent content development skills (research, interviewing, content synthesis, writing and editing)
Basic Qualifications
- Requires a University Degree and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
- Exceptional content development skills, including information gathering such as independent research or SME interviews, content synthesis, organizing and outlining (including the ability to recognize and separate need-to-know from nice-to-know), writing and editing, and identifying and directing the creation of supporting visuals or media as needed
- Demonstrated understanding of tested instructional design theories, practices, and methods
- Ability to quickly learn new subject matter and ask meaningful questions as needed to ensure clear translation from SME to learner audience
- Creative thinker committed to creating remarkable learning experiences
- Articulate 360 and/or Storyline authorship/development a plus
